Calling all Chatime, Gong Cha and Ochado milk tea fans, there's a new taste in town to try out. Jogoya's latest sister company now offers you Macoto's Taiwanese Milk Tea. It is now available in Jogoya at StarHill Gallery and SS15 at Subang Jaya, and coming soon in Pavilion and 30 more locations in 2012!
Macoto Tea serves you high quality tea with its ingredients imported by Jogoya from Taiwan. Yet another fantastic brand started by Jogoya founder Mr. Jiang Zheng Nan. You will only expect the best from him and his Jogoya team!
This outlet is located at the parallel unit behind Chatime at SS15, very near to Asia Cafe.Look how new are their equipments :)
#1 Taro Pearl Milk Tea (奶香芋珍珠 + 芋头粒) @ RM5.90
When it comes to choosing the tea, I often don't know how to choose coz' there are always too many varieties that make me indecisive. Out of so many, Taro is a good idea--- But since they don't have any Taro Balls here, I think Taro cubes would taste good too!
When I finish the drinks, I realise there are still plenty of good stuff at the bottom of the cup. Besides chewing the soft black pearls, you can indulge yourself in a true yam taste instead of yam puree / yam powder which are normally used for bubble milk tea.
#2 Momo Oolong Tea (白桃烏龍) @ RM5.90
Being one of Macoto's signature drinks, it's a decent cup of warm tea that I'd love during cold weathers.
The service here is better than those around its close competitors. The waiters here are so polite and friendly; he even chatted with most of the customers instead of showing faces like Chatime workers.
Apart from the tea selection, the snacks offered at Macoto include imported Taiwanese egg rolls, pineapple tarts and 'sun biscuit' (太阳饼).
Egg rolls @ RM1.50 each, RM8 for 6, RM 16 for 12.
Pineapple tarts @ RM36 for 10 pieces and RM72 for 20 pieces.
Since their grand opening, they have been giving away one piece of egg roll for each cup of Macoto tea purchased. It comes in 5 different flavours--- Original, coffee, chocolate, green tea and sesame.
Verdict:
1. Taste better with Taiwanese delicacies.
2. Revisit? YES, I'd love to try other flavours as well.
3. Although it's not a new idea, but it's a good one coz' I can now drink bottomless, countless types of tea while dining at Jogoya!
