Cinnamon Coffee House @ One World Hotel

Strategically located near the One Utama Shopping Mall, the Cinnamon Coffee House at One World Hotel becomes a hot spot for the weekend High Tea from 12 noon to 4.30pm for the shoppers.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a whole pleasing dining ambiance, but you can always go for the garden terrace if you prefer al fresco dining experience.

 #1 Roasted Whole Lamb

To start off, this award-winning restaurant serves an extensive spread of Western cuisine. I love the rosemary grilled potatoes there, so flavourful with the herbs and spices.

 #2 Chicken Slices

#3 Left: Chicken Terrine ; Right: Mackerel

The usual cold cuts on the buffet line are best served as a starter, after being seasoned with some condiments which bring a lift in flavour.

#4 Fine Assortment of Cold Cuts

The newly-added sandwich bar which is the brainchild of Chef Israel Lazaroo has received wonderful commendations from guests. Pick your favourite turkey breast ham, beef bacon, tuna, chicken floss, cheese and fresh vegetables, so that the chef can instantly bake you a piece of delicious sandwich.

What a hearty yet filling meal, with a hint of sweetness from the fruit tart!

The restaurant also features an open live cooking kitchen where each dish is served upon ordering. This is a picture of the honorable chef who was cooking my spaghetti, mmm...how aromatic!

#5 Penne a la Carbonara

The Italian dish here is really creamy with generous amount of cheese, served with cubes of ham and capsicums. Fresh and hot, its luscious bold flavour delights me!

#6 Assorted Sushi and Japanese delicacies

The show kitchens also feature cuisines from Japan, where you can customize your very own handroll of California Temaki or pick some Wakame (Seaweed), Shake (Salmon) and Baby Octopus.

#7 Top: Penang Char Kuey Teow ; Bottom: Teo Chew Porridge

The Chinese show kitchens are up to replace the hot chaffing dishes at the usual buffet line as well. If you order Loh See Fun or Mee Mamak, it will be ready for you in 5 minutes, and you can see how the chef cooks so quickly!

#8 Homemade Yong Tau Fu

 #9 Left: Snapper ; Right: Chicken

Next, let's lavish the hi-tea spread with some Asian delights which come with various ooking styles and sauces to tickle your taste buds.

#10 Left: Deep Fried Crispy Fish with Thai Mango Salad
Right: Pan Fried Lamb Chop with Kuzi Sauce

Created with Chef Michael and Chef Zaleha respectively, I'd prefer the succulent lamb chop because of the aromatic, spiced tomatoes sauce. It's indeed an authentic Johor method of cooking!

 #11 Left: Tiger Prawn Sambal with Sticky Rice
Middle: Laksa Johor ;
Right: Malaysian Satay, Rendang and Nasi Lemak

There are more Malay cuisines on the go, showcasing the rich culture of food in this country. The fish-based gravy of Laksa Johor is one of my favourites when its rich soup base comes with thick coconut-milk lush. It appears to be fiery-red, but I can tolerate well with the spiciness there.

#12 Roti Masala

More varieties are found at the Indian counter with a-la-minute Masala thosai and chutney freshly prepared by the chefs.

#13 Freshly Cut Fruits

Healthy fresh fruits are perfect before indulging myself with the delectable desserts.

#14 Sweetened Almond Seeds with Ginseng

I start off with the Chinese dessert, which I heard it helps in keeping the skin young. The right balance of sweetness is well matched with the aromatic ginseng.

#15 Chinese Steamed Cake

There are many fluffy Huat Kueh on the buffet line. So soft and warm, I can easily pop one into my mouth.

#16 Left: Apam Balik
Middle: Kuih Nyonya ;
Right: Roti Jala

Next, we move to the traditional Malay desserts, which are highly sweetened to satisfy the sweet tooth! I love the Kuih Kaya of the Nyonya style the most, as I savour every bite of the fragrant coloured glutinuos rice.

#17 Assorted Doughnuts

#18 Left: Chocolate Brownies
Middle: Red Velvet Cake ;
Right: Fruity Pudding

The restaurant also serves up a myriad of irresistible delicacies in very petite size, the wide assortment of mouthwatering desserts will leave you spoilt for choice.

#19 Crepes Suzette

A thin slice of French-styled crepe with the fairly thick caramelized orange sauce leaves a tangy flavour along with a hint of sweetness from the chocolate chips. What a sweet seduction!

#20 Left: Chocolate Mousse
Middle: Baked Cheese Cake ;
 Right:  Red Velvet Cake

At the pastry corner located at the entrance of the restaurant, a variety of delicious cakes are on sale. If you'd love to buy a whole cake home, the flavours available are very extensive too.

#21 Chocolate Fondue

For chocolate lovers, indulge in their heavenly chocolate fountain with a variety of fruits and marshmallow dips which is a favourite not only amongst kids but adults as well.

#22 Bubble Milk Tea of Assorted Flavours

The buffet line is so extensive that they even have dim sum, pizza, rojak, nasi kandar, garden salad; The list is endless!

So give yourself a boost during the weekend, and make your way to Cinnamon Coffee House for its Weekend High Tea. Let your tastebuds run wild with the wide spread local and international cuisine for only RM63++ for adult (RM32++ per child aged 4-12 years) during normal weekends or RM70++ for adult (RM35++ per child) during Public Holidays!

Verdict:
1. In my opinion, the buffet spread has a really wide choices for all. Too many choices leave me with no choice sometimes, as I have no idea of which to grab.
2. The foodstuff from the live cooking corners are especially good mainly because of its freshness.
3. This award-winning restaurant can easily defeat others of the same line for its value for money and strategic location.
