This cafe is famous for its fresh, healthy tea. Also, it is having a promotion now, offering set lunches and dinners for customers ranging from RM 3.90 to RM 12.90! Reasonably-priced, of course!
Set meal includes: 1 Main Course + 1 Beverage + 1 Dessert
#1 Orange-colored: Lemon Tea ; White-colored: Lemon Juice
I wonder why the 'tea' and the 'juice' can be so different in colour! |
#2 Claypot Lao Shu Fen |
Judging by its appealing appearance, I quickly have the first spoonful of noodles with egg. But disappointlingly, it is quite salty. And the taste is so-so only.
#3 Three Cup Chicken Rice |
From other food reviews by food bloggers, I learned that this dish is the Pearl Discovery's signature dish. To my disappointment, it is just a plate of ordinary chicken rice, unlike how others have described it!
It looks great, but the portion is quite small even for a moderate eater. Served while it's sizzling hot, the taste is still below par.
#5 Complimentary dessert: Yam or Vanilla Ice-Cream |
Verdict:
1. It's okay to chill at this place, chit-chatting while enjoying their Special Milk Tea! I personally love a cozy cafe which I can sit for hours and hours there with my friends.
2. But it's not recommended to dine in here because the food are quite common and does not worth the value of money as well. You can easily obtain them in any hawker stalls out there, in a way better taste and presentation!
