Ciao Ristorante, a very rustic Italian restaurant, and probably the oldest in KL too.
I have long heard that this restaurant is always the famous venue for garden weddings,
but this is my first time stepping into this heaven.
and a garden and man-made lake overlooking at the golf course behind the restaurant.
Ciao serves authentic Italian food. Opened since 1992, it used to be tucked at Jalan Tun Razak, and then now it is relocated in Jalan Kampung Pandan, just a stone's throw away from the affordable Rendezvous Steak House.
I was there last week for the launching event of Samsung Galaxy Camera. And hence gotten to
sample on some authentic Italian food from Ciao. They are served uniquely in their own simple way,
revealing characteristics on its own.
#1 Salmon Tartlets
#2 Spinach and Mushroom Tartlets
#3 My favourite!
#4 Tuna and Olive on Italian Bread
#5 Fish Roes on Cold Noodles
One thing I always notice about a restaurant is the service of the waiters.
Regardless of how good the food is, I am reluctant to revisit a restaurant which
has poor customer services. Not only the food at Ciao is up to my preference,
the waiters there are very courteous, friendly and helpful too!
#6 Prawn Salad with Thousand Island in Glass
#7 Cucumber and Carrot Shots in Glass
#8 Grilled Chicken Breast in Glass
To be honest, the food there is noteworthy, be it on a buffet line or ala carte dining. I have good impressions on the salmon and spinach tartlets, stuffed with goodness and creamy at the edges.
#9 Fruit Tartlets
#10 Fruit Juices
Well, I bet what I had there was not even 10% of the menu. Considering the flavours and quality of the food as well as the atmosphere, I'd definitely be back to Ciao for a pleasant Italian gastronomical journey with hints of modernized flare!
