Nadeje Mille Crêpe @ PJ 3 Two Square, Petaling Jaya

News spread really fast. Nadeje, the famous Mille Crepe cake house from Malacca, 

is now open at Section 19, Petaling Jaya. 

Since the day of its grand opening till today, it is flocked with crowd almost everyday especially in the evening. The queue is pretty similar to what you face at Mahkota Parade, Malacca. 

The layout of this new cafe is simple, with very limited seating area and a sitting couch for customers who are waiting for their take-aways. Upon each order, you will be given a waiting number, and wait for your food like how you queue in the banks. I think I queued for around 20 minutes there. 

We went there on a Saturday evening, and it was very packed and the flavours of mille crepe are quite limited. Disappointingly, the Original Mille Crepe ran out of stock. We were left with only 4 choices. So pathetic.

Choices #1 Praline Lover,  #2 Malacca Mille Crepe,  

#3 Berry Berry Strawberry and  #4 Banana Chocolate

Another issue here is the lack of seating area for customers, 

so we had to order something for take-away.

As usual, I will order a slice of Praline Lover when my favourite Original Mille Crepe is not available. 

I remembered vividly the taste of this hazelnut cake two years back when I was in Malacca, every layer of the cake consisted of thick hazelnut spread and grinded nuts.

#1 Praline Lover @ RM9.50

I can't deny that the nutty flavour is less strong now, but thumbs up to the thin, crisp layer of crepe. 

Aromatic and smooth, each bite is creamy and feels light in the mouth!

 #2 Malacca Mille Crepe @ RM9.50

What makes it being named after the state of Malacca? Well, because the crepes are layered with Gula Melaka as well as sugary cream. However, I find it overly sweet and the flavour overwhelms the natural smoky sugar coat in between the thin layers.

#3 Berry Berry Strawberry @ RM9.50

If you prefer something that tickles the taste buds, do try some sweet and sour strawberry mille crepe, that incorporates bits of strawberry flesh in it. The layer of strawberry cream topping feels simply airy and moist :) Definitely a luscious piece of cake! 

Other than that, Nadeje had a huge variety of coffee and tea to complete the perfect tea of the day.

So far, I hadn't seen other dessert products such as the doughnuts, pies and cakes, but there will be more varieties coming up in this branch just like the other outlets in Malacca. 

Situated pretty near to Jaya 33, Digital Mall and SS2 mall, this Dataran Three 2 Square is located opposite the Section 14 Toyota Service centre, and Nadeje is not visible from the main road. You have to make a turn inside to find the outlet. Nevertheless, it is quite easy to find even if you are not familiar to this area :)

Verdict:
1. Long queue, as always.
2. Variety wise, it is limited instead of the usual 18 types. (Maybe it only happened on the day I went there)
3. Quality wise, no complaints on the crepe layers, pretty similar to those in Malacca. My favourite flavour is still the Original--- Definitely a must try!
