Review: Vanity Trove March Beauty Box: Temptress

Remember how excited was I to receive the Valentine's gift from Vanity Trove last month? 

Now that March has rolled in and I just received my second beauty box!

Themed 'Temptress' this month, the beauty box gives me a seductive attraction.

Let's see what's in the box this month for me to go all hot and sexy!

The Valentine's box last month had 5 participating brands, but March is left with only 4.
Well, never mind, I am so happy I still get 6 different products in this month and February.

#1 KANEBO Skin Fusing Powder Foundation (0.6g)

Actual Casing with Sponge @ RM60 ; Foundation Refill @ RM140 (10.5g)

Provides a natural coverage and ensures a shine-free appearance with its SPF20PA++ powder formula. Instead of staying as a thick layer of makeup, the foundation blends and melts into your skin when applied. This smoothes any uneven surface and gives you a dewy and radiant complexion!

The first thing I gonna use is this creamy makeup base,
followed by the miniature powder foundation with a really cute sponge.

#2 TIMELESS TRUTH Orchid Extract Whitening Mask @ RM10 per piece

Whitens, brightens and moisturises your skin. Gives perfect comfort and full coverage for each application. There is even enough essence left in every packet to nourish your neck and body!

I always come acroos Timeless Truth masks (Facebook: /ttmaskMalaysia) at Mask Slim outlet in Sunway Pyramid, and often spoilt with choices! There are too many types of masks to choose, so I end up walking out of the store empty-handed. Thanks VT now I can try on it! After using it, my skin really feels smoother and more radiant! I guess I have to stock up more of their masks at home!

#3 ASIAN POTIONS Blooming Ginger Body Lotion @ RM89 (250ml)

#4 ETRE BELLE Sensiplus Hydrasilk Day & Night Cream (5ml) @ RM188 (50ml)

Here's another sample that suits me a lot, because I have always an issue with dry skin. Hope this mighty tube of cream helps!

Soothes and moisturizes one's delicate and irritated skin. Apply to your skin in the morning and evening after cleanings and gently massage in, followed by the Day & Night Cream (above).

Moisturizers. Who doesn't love it? It's an essential for us girls. 

#6 BIO-ESSENCE Bio-Energy Firm & Brighten Eye Cream SPF 15 (2 x 3ml)

Lightens dark circles, firms and brightens eye contours, smoothens fine lines and wrinkles. And most importantly, it nourishes skin with Bio-energy Fluid and Bio-Bird’s Nest Extract.

The last item is not listed in the booklet, but I am surprised to receive two small tubes of eye cream. I was a long-term user of Bio Essence 24K Bio-Gold Eye Serum, but it didn't help much on my dark eye circles condition. So I don't think this is going to work on me either. 

MY VERDICT:

To sum up, I am not as satisfied as compared to last month, because most items are labelled either 'Sample' or 'Not For Sale', and they come in really petite sizes. Disappointment comes in when I actually expected a sexy lipstick or eyeshadow from the black and bold red theme of "Temptress".

Nevertheless, the package is beautiful as always and thumbs up to Vanity Trove for keeping all the good brands for this month :) Hope next month's 'Shower of Summer' April Edition brings more surprises! :)
