Ramadhan Buka Puasa @ Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur

If you are in the Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur while facing the heavy traffic, why not hop over to Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur for a feast that spoils you with over 100 choices of food?

On a fine Tuesday, I was at Concorde Ballroom, enjoying the latest Ramadhan food promotion themed "Warung Nasi Padang Ibunda". The place was transformed into a typical "Rumah Gadang" (Big House). As the name suggests, the latest Ramadhan feast features a wide selection of traditional local fare which definitely reminds you of HOME!

It was the first time I was greeted warmly by few Indonesians who were elegantly dressed in the traditional Minangkabau costumes that featured gold threads, silky smooth fabric and golden ornaments.

Padang is the home of Minangkabau people of West Sumatra, Indonesia. Padang cuisine is one of most popular food in Maritime Southeast Asia, and this Ramadhan Concorde KL is bringing in this delicious cuisine from Padang itself!

ORIGINAL MALAY CUISINE
Padang food is famous for its rich taste of succulent coconut milk and spicy chilli. The distinct difference between Padang and Malay cuisine lies on the method of cooking of course, there are similar dishes by name, yet 1 or 2 main ingredients used in a Padang dish can give a totally different taste, texture and aroma.
