Following the blogpost about my beauty adventure with Paul Penders in Langkawi, I'm going to introduce my home at Langkawi over the weekend. If you haven't read on my previous post, be sure you do before you proceed here =P
Carol, FiSh, Sabrina, Innanie and Tammy: Here we go to Langkawi!!
Finish reading the previous post? Now you should know Paul Penders is a renowned international beauty brand that does its R&D at Ocean Residence, located 20 minutes drive away from Kuah town. Of course this beautiful place is not just a research venue for Paul and his team.
The Container House, inside The Ocean Residence
Overlooking stunning views of green islands, passing ships and the gorgeous Kuah waterfront, the luxurious boutique residence is perfect for a romantic and relaxing island stay! I love waking up to beautiful sunrise and calming waves of the ocean.
At The Ocean Residence, all of us stay at the popular, unique Container House, constructed out of two steel shipping containers that have been raised to the second floor with an inner lining of elegant red brick walls. Certainly a lovely place with quiet serenity!
OceanView Studio
Here's the interior of my room. Every room / apartment at The Container House has different concepts and designs, but all are furnished with elegant simplicity and commanding views. Here I can open the glass door to listen to the waves and catch breezes coming in from both the sea and mountains nearby.
The Lookout
A balcony looks out over garden and mountain views on one side, and a very large and spacious veranda overlooks a stunning panorama of the sea. Let the sounds of the sea soothe you as you climb up sturdy stairs to one of the sleeping lofts. The two large lofts on the seaside accommodate extra-large queen-sized beds.
The Getaway
This very special studio apartment Tammy got is a huge private deck of the Container House overlooking the swimming pool and ocean. You'll feel on top of the word as you climb the outside stairs to this 'getaway' room.
The Hideout
This cozy ground floor residence has it all--- garden, mountain and
seafront view with two verandahs to suit your every mood.
Lined with graceful curves of natural and man-made rock and bricks, the "sweet-salt-water" infinity swimming pool is built just besides the natural salt-water one. It offers a wonderful panoramic view of the sea and mountains, especially at night!
Look at the extensive landscaped gardens and lawns, with a private pool for the 14 newly-built suites at The Long House and The Stables. Plus, it's a lap swimming pool of Olympic length for 55 metre straight swim excitement. I should come back and try it out!
Waves of blue ocean waters break on white-sand beaches. Stunning blue skies, fresh flowers, herbs and exotic trees are kissed by a salty ocean breeze. How can I not fall in love with this place?
The only drawback in this place is that no meal is provided, but an in-house restaurant will be opened very soon. Therefore, we head to Pantai Cenang and dine by the beach :)
We then stopped by Haji Ismail Group chocolate store at Pusat Bandar Kuah to shop for alcoholic and non-alcoholic chocolates. They're seriously CHEAP in Langkawi! Daim, Kisses, Toblerone and strawberry Kit Kats are my faves.
Not forgetting my all-time addiction, Pepero. It is priced at RM28 whenever on sale at Jusco, but here in Langkawi one big box of 8 packets is only RM17!!! I'd wish my luggage can fit more boxes so that I can bring more home :(
Time for sight-seeing around Langkawi. BEACH TIME! One of the famous beaches I have been to when I was 7, is Pantai Pasir Hitam, a unique beach streaked with black sand. You might want to bring along binoculars or a telescope so you can watch the fishing boats and yachts as they cruise by.
Look what had we found--- It's a baby hermit crab, sooo cuteee!
Watersports and boat services are available too. Feel free to check it out after taking a sip of fresh young coconut water by the beach. Whether it is a seaside wedding, retreat, business meeting or a family vacation, I believe the trip would definitely be a truly memorable experience.
On the last day of our trip...everyone was reluctant to leave this heavenly place.
Anyway, we flew home with Malindo Air!
Anyway, we flew home with Malindo Air!
Byebye Langkawi! I will be back!
Thank You Paul Penders for the memorable getaway! :)
Verdict:
1. Truly blissful and tranquil stay! Surrounded by panoramic views of mountains, islands and the sea, the private estate boasts an enchanting tropical Malay architecture. I'd wish to stay longer as if it is my home away from home where I can feel completely at ease.
2. Pricewise, the room rates for the container house ranges from RM300 to RM500 per night. Pretty reasonable considering the scenic view, quality, privacy, great services and ultimate serenity.
3. Highly recommended for those looking for luxuriously comfortable experience beyond mere accommodation.
