Whenever I go for road trips in Malacca, street food is often the main thing I'd be hunting for. Now
let's put aside those durian cendol and satay celup, and make our way into a cozy Western cafe in town!

Limau Limau Cafe is a hidden gem, tucked along a quiet street behind Jonker Walk. It may not be visible from the street as it is surrounded by plenty of bushy plants and cars in front of the cafe. Thanks to Waze, I manage to find my way there easily.
Taking pride in the house-specialty healthy wholemeal sandwiches, foccacia and ciabatta bread, this beautiful cafe is usually swamped by foreign tourists at as early as 9am. The breakfast menu is available until 11am, and I'm lucky to arrive there early for this!
Breakfast Set
Nothing to shout about the wholemeal bread as it is the commercial Gardenia type. But I must say I love the simple yet filling combination of ham and egg that melts in the mouth with heavy Cheddar cheesy goodness.
The light and fluffy scrambled eggs are always the king of breakfast table. Delicious!
It comes with a choice of black coffee or Lipton tea.
Ciabatta Bread Mozzarella Cheese Melt with Roasted Bell Pepper & Chicken @ RM20.90
A must-order item! From the ciabatta to the spices, how can everything be so perfect? The Italian bread is warm and fresh, perfectly baked with the right amount of soft chewiness on the inside. Being a bread person myself, I absolutely love its chewy, crusty texture!
Sitting on the bread are two thick slices of tender, all white-meat chicken which is well dressed up with melted mozzarella cheese. Speaking of that, the chicken is lean and not gristly at all. The mozzarella cheese is light and flavorful but does not mask any flavour of the combination.
If you're looking for a morning boost of vitamins, you should try the exotic fresh fruit juices such as dragon fruit, starfruit and when in season, even durian, rambutan and mangosteen.
Verdict:
1. A perfect old-school charm for breakfast and exotic freshly made juices!
2. Tastewise, I think they have done well, as the ingredients used are generous and high in quality. A great escape from the long queues and massive heat along Jonker Street.
3. This place is rather touristy, therefore the price it is quite hefty for such a simple breakfast. But it is worth the value considering its homey and relaxing ambiance.
