Review: Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Big Eyes Mascara

I have never imagined a mascara can do more than just a mascara. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, I'm referring to the latest Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Big Eyes Mascara. It's not just a mascara, it's an instant false lash glam in a tube!

It is Maybelline's very first dual-ended brush that functions differently on upper and lower lashes. Patented spoon brush and pro-keratin fiber formula instantly build 5x more volume without clumping. Unique flexible wand helps lift and separate, to provide the look of 2x more lashes.

Thick, fibrous upper-lashes brush: Pushes lashes up and wide

Mini lower-lashes brush: Grabs and coats every tiny lash

I generally have short and sparse lashes, and I think Maybelline does a great job in lengthening it as brightening my eyes. After 2 coats, the eyes look dramatically bigger and wide-open. If you put more layers on it, you'd achieve the perfectly flirty false lash effect...

What I like about it:

1. In terms of product design, the wand is strong enough to hold my lashes and easy to control while applying.

2. A few coats can already volumize my lashes. No smearing or clumping unless you apply too many coats.

3. Tiny wand for lower lashes can fit easily on bottom lashes.

What I dislike about it:

1. Lack of curling effect. The lashes tend to be thicker but not curler. It becomes too thick and droopy once overapplied.

Overall Verdict:
Recommended for thin and sparse lashes that need great volumizing and lengthening effect.
I love the beautiful effect on lower lashes that make my eyes look more defined.
