Hi babes! With the increasingly popular trend of selfie, I have decided to blog about my version of "3 Steps to Instagram-Perfect Selfie". Yes, it takes just as simple as 3 steps in order to get a perfect shot, rather than snapping 947823 times without getting a good one.
#1 Natural-Looking Makeup
The saying that there is no ugly woman in this world, is quite true because makeups can really transform one into a beauty. Personally, I always love to achieve the natural look which makes me look as if I have no makeup on picture, but at the same time pay more attention on my weakness-- Small eyes. So I'll just stick to the basics: BB Cushion, Blusher, Mascara, Eyeliner and Lipgloss.
Just a reminder: The power of makeup is undeniable, but never overdo it.
I must admit makeup can work wonder on the skin, but ultimately it is the skin condition that determines how good the natural complexion is. My daily skincare regime is pretty simple--- just 3 items from Clean & Clear Essentials Kit: Cleanser, Toner and Moisturizer. Affordable, simple and effective.
With good skin complexion, you can even go makeup-less for that "Just Woke Up" selfie shot!
Step 1: Clean & Clear Essentials Foaming Facial Wash
The The cleanser foams up very well and is great at clearing out the dirts and impurities on the skin which prevents pimples from popping up.
Goodbye to breakouts, blackheads and oily shine that are big no-no for selfies!
What's better than having refreshed skin after toning it?
The last basic step is the oil-free moisturizer that works deep down to the pores to help keep skin free from pimples and blackheads. I find it great to be used under the makeup as it moisturizes very well without causing any greasiness or clogged pores. And it does allow a better makeup coverage after that.
Sometimes it is not the expensive stuff that will work miracle. Clean & Clear, my favourite basic skincare brand since teenage years has proven that my skin can look great without spending a fortune on it.
#3 Good Lighting + Angle
Sometimes a little trick is required for selfies. I always try to take my pictures in an environment as bright as possible to give the skin that "natural glow" and tilt the camera at a 45° angle in order to look slim and trim on the picture, especially when I wanna achieve the "V-shaped" chin! Best to invest in a camera with a screen that tilts or swivels 180° too :)
To sum up, selfie is as simple as Natural Makeup + Great Skin + Good Lighting and Angle.
