Bali, is by far, a great beach getaway for me when I am on a budget trip. It may sound kinda mainstream to travel to this overly popular holiday destination, but I always believe there must surely be something unique in every place I leave my footprints :)
I was on board with Malaysia Airlines this round, with a pretty decent meal included on flight although it was just a 2-hours-55-minutes journey. Service was amazing, and certainly no regrets flying with MAS.
Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar: Quite small but looks amazing in terms of architectural design.
Welcome to Bali! The town is beautifully adorned with countless number of Balinese Hindu monuments.

(10-minute drive from the airport)
I spent my 3 days 2 nights here at HARRIS Raya Kuta Hotel, one of the most convenient (and most affordable) accommodations available in Kuta. It was a mere 10-minute walking distance away from Kuta Beach and Kuta Square.
The room was just nice for a maximum of 3 pax, inclusive of buffet breakfast although the selection was quite limited to the basic Western fare. Street massage shops were aplenty there (Good rates too!) but I got my complimentary Balinese massage fix from H' Spa, the spa centre at the top floor of the hotel.
DAY TIME IN KUTA
Just got down from the hotel building and I was already at the streets of Kuta!
Balinese handcrafted arts were everywhere, ranging from ceramics to wooden carvings.
Walking further down the road was Kuta Square, another shopping haven with rows of fashion stores and dining outlets. Familiar names such as Quiksilver, Nike, Adidas, Rip Curl, KFC, McDonald's and Haagen-Dazs were common there.
But the highlight at Kuta was certainly its infamous beach: Pantai Kuta!
P A R A D I S E ❤
The panoramic view was amazing during the day, especially under the hot weather.
Approaching evening....the sunset was just lovely! Not the best I've seen, but still heart-captivating.
The only downside was, the beach was insanely crowded that I could hardly find a spot to stand.
Get a horse ride anytime when you're feeling lazy to walk!
Hard Rock Cafe is directly facing the beach; Definitely a must-visit place in Bali!
NIGHT LIFE IN KUTA
Kuta Beachwalk Shopping Mall
Jalan Pantai Kuta, Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia.Phone: +62 361 8464888
Business Hours: 10.30am – 10.30pm
I notice this mall is another popular tourist spot, if shopping was all you want! Although I can easily find similar brands in Malaysia, something special about this Beachwalk Mall is the spacious open-aired area surrounded by large ponds, musical fountain, and flower garden that makes every nook and corner so picture worthy!
By the way, the Beachwalk Mall looks totally different during the day!
Starbucks is still my favourite, no matter where I go. ❤
Ground Zero Monument, Legian Street, Kuta
Totally didn't expect the evening stroll had brought me this far! I think I had at least walked for 2-3km to arrive at Jalan Legian, the most happening street in Kuta with a rich mix of nightclubs and bars that open up till late.
There you go for great music, drinks and vibes after the sun goes down!
Well, I am not a drinker so count me out from the party. But I don't mind snacking on some uniquely-flavoured Magnum ice cream in Bali! Black Espresso is so yummy, when will Magnum be bringing in these flavours to Malaysia?
I think that's all for my first day of trip-- Half-day sightseeing in Kuta, Bali.
Stay tuned for the next update on exploring the rest of Bali including the beautiful Tanah Lot temple!
Lots of love,
FiSh ❤
