Review: Staycation at Grand Millennium KL Hotel + Breakfast

The last time I was here at the 5-star Grand Millennium Hotel was during my lunch date at Hanaya Japanese Dining. In fact, I've been here for a couple of dinner dates, but this is my very first time staying at its Deluxe Room, courtesy to the Malaysia Wonders campaign by Seeties and Tourism Malaysia-Thailand.

My crib of the evening was so posh; It felt awesome to have the entire spacious room on my own!

With floor-to-ceiling windows, the room exudes a sense of luxury and comfort, when it is fully adorned with contemporary furnishings. A neutral colour palette of soft browns and creams lends room a relaxing feel.

I love the silhoutte during the sunrise...

Amazing night view from the window.

The best part is, it offers a breathtaking view of the Kuala Lumpur city skyline. As you can see, the shopping havens such as Pavilion KL, Starhill Gallery, Fahrenheit88, Lot10 and more are just within walking distances away. I absolutely love its strategic location at the heart of KL!

In this superbly equipped room, guests will certainly enjoy the little touches of modern luxury-- Comfortable custom-made linens and bedding, twice daily housekeeping service with complimentary water on turndown, fast and high quality bandwidth (both wired and wireless), HD LCD TV with digital content on demand, including latest movies.

In the bathroom, it is always pleasant to find a separate bathtub and walk-in shower so that I can enjoy after a long day.

Another good thing is, I also manage to keep up with my fitness regime at the in-house fitness centre.

You can enjoy a leisurely dip in the outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush greenery.

After a good night's sleep, I woke up feeling fully rejuvenated the next morning. And what surprises me is the "Happy Birthday" call from the frontdesk at 7am! Thank you team for the personal touch :) So I then had my birthday breakfast at The Mill Cafe, an all-day buffet dining venue in the hotel.

The Mill offers an imaginative dining experience showcasing chefs at work in show kitchens to provide a multi-cultural culinary feast. Decorated in a chic, contemporary style, The Mill's breakfast offers a choice of international and regional favourites from 6am to 10.30am daily.

Freshly-baked Croissants, Waffles and Pancakes

Cereal Bar with choices more than I can imagine!

For your plate of typical English breakfast:
Sausages, Bacon, Meatloaf in Chicken Stock, Sauteed Potatoes, Tomatoes and Baked Beans

And each time when I see a live cooking station on a breakfast buffet spread,
I never fail to order my favourite Scrambled Egg with Cheese.

For a taste of the local favourites, there are also plenty of Nasi Lemak, porridge, noodles, curry, roti prata, and more to be chosen from.

And...assorted salad and dressings for the healthy goers.

Yoghurt and fruits are my personal favourites too!

Doughnuts in 3 flavours-- Plain, Chocolate and Custard for the sweet tooth.

Verdict:
1. Impeccable service, luxurious hotel, good food, strategic location; I have no complaints at all!
2. Here I can seriously enjoy all the comforts of home, for an exceptional value.
3. Overall, Grand Millennium KL is recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

  9. I love when the hotel furnitures are white rather than dark brown, as it always looks better in photos and look so much cleaner too. I always judge the hotel by the breakfast spread, I am serious about my breakfast food. And this deserves a thumbs up!
