Just before my birthday, indulging in a luxurious facial treatment is definitely a treat especially when I have been craving for some self-pampering moment after so many busy months. I am glad to have my relaxation session taken care of by the renowned Mandara Spa in Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa.

The hotel is located right next to Sunway Pyramid, so I went there after my shopping therapy at the mall. Upon stepping out from the lift at Level 5 of Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, you will see lush greenery with a pathway leading you towards Mandara Spa.

Just take a 10 minutes stroll and you'll arrive at this peaceful, Balinese-themed spa centre in the midst of nature.

 

Look at the green outdoors and warm interior; I was feeling so "zen" at Mandara!

Mandara Spa, if you do not already know, has a strong presence over 70 locations around the world. Here it offers over 30 types of indulgent treatments combining the wisdom and allure of ancient health and beauty traditions, with the latest spa science from Elemis spa therapies.

Speaking of ELEMIS, it is the leading luxury British spa and skincare brand chosen by over 6.5 million spa-goers every year. It is also crowned as Best British Brand at the 2014 CEW (UK) Beauty Awards.

Having numerous skincare ranges in the house, Mandara offers a wide range of treatment

that focuses on the use of Elemis, to cater for different skin types.

The impeccable service began from the moment I stepped into Mandara.

Being warmly welcomed by the staff, I was treated with some chilled ginger tea. Definitely a refreshing and invigorating beverage  before going for the pampering session.

The staff then did an express skin consultation with me, to gain better understanding of my skin concerns, and recommend the most suitable treatment for my skin type.

For better privacy, the space is divided into multiple spa suites, and mine was a single spa suite for individuals. If you are here to pamper yourself with your mom, sis or friends, couple suites are available too.

Towel, robe and slippers are all included in the suite.

Elemis Pro Collagen Quartz Lift Facial Treatment (RM515) 

It is one of the signature anti-wrinkle facial with proven that helps reduce the number of wrinkles by up to 94%* and improves skin firmness by up to 57%* (Clinically proven!) after just one treatment. Of course, I must thank the specialized techniques used by the experienced staff for the firmer, uplifted, youthful-looking appearance.

My luxurious 75-minutes treatment began with skin cleansing, then toning and finally doing a facial mask. Honestly, I didn't get to take much pictures inside the spa treatment room, because it was just too cosy in there that I could easily doze off throughout the session. 

The facial treatment here is not just about facial. The therapist also included massage for foot, hand, shoulder, neck and head to complete my relaxation experience here.

My favourite was the cooling Elemis mask that would eventually turn into a "jelly sheet" as it dried off. It soothed the skin very well, leaving a moisturized and plump feeling.

At the end of the session, I took a few sips of warm ginger tea before thanking the friendly people at Mandara for the amazing facial experience.

1. The overall treatment is amazing, from the quality product used to professionally-trained staff.

2. Mandara Spa is definitely a great choice as go-to spa if you are seeking for unique Balinese and contemporary treatments under a serene greenery setting.
