Mr. Wolf @ Seapark, Petaling Jaya

My recent finds around PJ area are all about bar-concept restaurants or cafes. Tucked along the quiet shoplots in Seapark, Mr. Wolf is one of the coolest Asian fusion establishments that features a beautiful classy neighborhood bar located on the ground and first floor.

The restaurant is noticeable from LDP highway, located on your left if you are coming from Puchong. Although it may look ordinary from the outside, it is one of my personal favourite chill-out places after work. The ample parking here is a definitely a plus point to Mr. Wolf.

Chicken Karaage, Asian Cucumber Salad, Chilli Tamarind Sauce @ RM20

The reason I love visiting this place is mainly because of its tapas-style dishes which are great for communal sharing while sipping on a glass of beer or wine. The crisp deep-fried chicken is very well-executed to retain its tenderness, and the spicy tangy sauce keeps us reaching for more!

Deep-fried Baby Crabs, School Prawns with Lime Chilli Dressing @ RM15

The crisp seafood is equally good as it is lightly battered and well-seasoned. Every piece is very crunchy on the palate, and the taste is totally jazzed up when dipped into the tangy lime chilli sauce.

Crispy Skin Salmon, Mentaiko Butter, Red Cabbage Salad, Salmon Roe and Fried Quinoa @ RM32

After some light snacks, the main courses that arrive next are even more stunning as they are creatively crafted by combining both Asian and Western styles into one. The thick slab of salmon is almost perfect! Tender flesh, ultra crisp skin, and beautifully paired with buttery mentaiko sauce and crunchy quinoa.

Slow-cooked Chicken, Tomato Chilli Jam, Black Fungi and French Bean Salad, Curry-leaf Infused Buttermilk Sauce @ RM34

As compared to the fish, I find that the lean chicken meat is slightly tougher but nevertheless still very juicy and well-paired with the spicy buttermilk sauce. The sauce is very flavourful and can easily get us hooked!

Sous Vide Miso Pork Loin, Crackling Skin, Cauliflower Puree, Kimchi Vegetables, Mastercook Egg

The sous vide pork loin, on the other hand, reminds me of Chinese char siew (Roasted pork). Sitting on a bed of creamy cauliflower puree and light brown gravy, each slice of the pork is bursting with caramelized flavour! Love the sinful yet delicious topping of pork cracklings too.

Spaghetti Carbonara with Streaky Bacon and Button Mushroom, 63-degree Egg @ RM30

The carbonara is highly recommended for those who love buttery cream flavour! Once the semi-raw egg is broken, it forms the jus of the spaghetti, creating a more creamy and dense texture of the overall dish. The combination is just luscious although some may find it a tad heavy.

Ox-tail and Beef Bolognese Spaghetti with Truffle Oil and Parmesan Cheese @ RM36

Verdict:
1. A great place to wine, dine and party with friends, as the outlet is very spacious and not overly noisy.
2. The Asian fusion dishes here are pretty good, thumbs up to the creativity!
3. Recommended: Chicken Karaage, Crisp Skin Salmon, Spaghetti Carbonara
