Tsuki No Miyako Japanese Restaurant @ Bandar Puteri, Puchong

During my recent trip to the quieter side of Bandar Puteri, Puchong, I have discovered a block of recently-opened Japanese restaurant, Tsuki No Miyako, located behind Starbucks and McDonalds (nearby Columbia Asia Hospital). It looks posh from the outside, and I am glad to have an amazing dining experience there!

Remember to make a turn from the main road, because this restaurant is hidden at the back row of The Cube.

Look at the beautiful landscape at the restaurant's car porch area!

Stepping into this place, the restaurant exudes a contemporary simplicity with an air of elegance and Japanese flair. The dining area at the ground floor is sufficient to cater for small crowd, but you can also host private events such as birthday parties or corporate gatherings at the upper level of the restaurant.

Tsuki No Miyako not only serves a wide range of Japanese culinary offerings, but also has a great collection of Japanese alcoholic drinks. It'd be nice if you plan to spend a little longer there for a glass or two, to pair with the delicious food.

I am a huge fan of the green bottle of Umeshu, a famous plum wine imported from Japan!
Do try it out if you like :)

Spicy Tofu Roll (6 pieces) @ RM24

Among the Chef's recommended dishes, we order one of the special sushi rolls that I rarely see elsewhere. Coated with crisp seaweed flakes, the sizeable sushi is topped with generous amount of crunchy spicy tofu topping that burst with aroma and flavours.

Uni Tofu Nabe @ RM18

But what truly amazes us is the braised beancurd soup with sea urchin mayonnaise served in a hot pot. I am totally blown by the beautifully soft texture of sea urchin and mayonnaise that melt perfectly in the tofu soup. The oceanic flavour is so rich like a cheesy concoction!

Highly recommended! I especially enjoy savouring the slightly torched sea urchin mayo on its own,
but the warm broth is equally satisfying with the rich seafood taste lingering on the palate.

Salmon Avocado Don Zen @ RM26

From the daily set lunch menu, I have a hearty bowl of diced cut salmon and avocado on sushi rice, accompanied with salad, homemade pickles, fruits, miso soup and chawan mushi. For such a huge satisfying set, I think it is totally worth the price!

*happily digging my salmon avocado bowl*
Just to show you how generous the amount of colorful toppings and sushi rice are.

It is such a lovely bowl of surprise. Crunchy avocado, soft salmon, chunky omelettes, fresh fish roes, seaweed as well as sweet and sour pickled vegetables, when combined together, are so fresh and melting good!

Even a simple Japanese egg custard like this is yummy on its own!

Garlic Rice Set @ RM40

If you are feeling hungry, they offer larger sets as well. Although it is served along with chicken teriyaki and assorted tempura, I realise the huge bowl of aromatic garlic fried rice is already good to go on its own because of its robust flavour.

Overall, if you are craving for some comfortable Japanese cuisine in the neighbourhood,
Tsuki No Miyako is a great choice be it for lunch dates, or dinner gatherings.

Verdict:
1. Personally, I find that the dishes here are up to standard and worth the price.
2. Reasons to visit: Good quality Japanese dishes, cosy ambiance and good service.
3. Recommended: Uni Tofu Nabe
