So we are here at the most happening nightlife area in KL for some drinks and we manage to discover a new establishment along Changkat Bukit Bintang – Fire and Ice. It is a two-storey bar cum club where we can enjoy the best of live music, great cocktails and contemporary food under one roof.

The Promoter behind Fire and Ice is Artam Events. Its founder and creator, King Lhota, originally from Senegal, made strong roots in Malaysia's nightlife circles, not only as an event/club promoter but as well as a male vocalist. We begin with the signature “tea” which is a blend of red and white concoction that resemble fire and ice. Interestingly, it tastes fruity, sweet and thirst quenching to the palate. Suitable for casual drinkers.
Whiskey Frappe @ RM26
If you prefer something more filling to the palate, try the Whiskey Frappe – a rich, creamy blend of Bourbon and 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Definitely a delicious sweet treat with an alcoholic twist in it!

FOOD
Fire and Ice is not just about cocktails, but is also a food haven for hungry patrons. Bar snacks and main courses are aplenty here, hence we begin our sumptuous dinner here with some light bite as an accompaniment to our cocktails.
Chicken Cheese Nachos Bhel @ RM20
A super cheesy and meaty platter that gets us hooked as we munch and drink.
Tuscan Steak Salad @ RM20
The salad here is pretty sizeable, considering the large piece of Tuscan steak on a bed of onion, tomato, romaine, aurgola and garbonza beans. The simple grilled sharing steak is well-marinated and turns out great in a salad dish.
Tahini Grilled Chicken @ RM18
Another recommended dish for the light eater is the grilled chicken wrapped in pita pockets and garlic aioli. It tastes extra great with alcohol because of its rich savoury flavour.
Rosemary Parmesan Crusted Chicken @ RM22
I find that the Western fare here is fairly decent. The parmesan crusted chicken dish is served with warm potato salad and pepper couli; Flavourful yet not too dry for my liking.
Tenderloin Steak @ RM26
Beef lovers can opt for a whole piece of tenderloin steak served on a bed of mashed potato and red wine mushroom jus. However, if you prefer something more filing, the classic Russian dish – Beef Stronganoff – is just nice to fill the stomach with sautéed pieces of beef served in thick, savoury sauce with a bowl of herbed rice.

I personally am not a fan of beef, hence I go for the seafood options instead. The Jamaican Jumbo Prawn served with cheddar mash and buttered broccoli and Grilled Halibut Fish are perfect to satisfy those who are craving for seafood.

After dinner, we stay for more drinks and enjoy the live band (Available from Tuesday to Sunday) together with a DJ on the decks. If you want something cooler, the first floor club area is where you can dance and party with different music such as RnB, EDM and commercial music playing in background.
