Do you remember my previous shoutout for The Music Run™ by AIA Vitality HERE? I am glad to be able to do some tickets giveaway to my fellow Instagram followers, courtesy of The Face Shop Malaysia who is one of the sponsors for the run this year. Hope you guys enjoyed yourselves during the run!
I was there too, being part of the 20,000 participants at the 4th edition of The Music Run™ by AIA Vitality at KL Sports City last weekend. It was my first time joining The Music Run and I really loved the pulsating atmosphere in the stadium as if I was attending some rave party or concert! We were all on really high energy as soon as we stepped into the stadium, as the loud, upbeat music was playing in background.
I arrived an hour before the run flagged off, and the stadium was already flooded with music runners. The event got off to a groovy start at the Music Village with pre-party featuring Malaysia’s favourite rock band Kyoto Protocol.
Fun activities were aplenty at various sponsors' booths.

This year's music run also saw the newly introduced "Common Wellness Village", where music runners can enjoy tasty and healthy food and beverages pre or post running, by vendors like RGB & The Beanhive, Senya Izakaya, Paper Fish, Life Juice and more.
Official Yoga Partner lululemon also brought together some of KL’s top instructors
who organised a series of silent disco yoga sessions.
When the run was about to begin for the 5km category...
The new timed 10km track for music runners was introduced this year, but I opted for 5km instead. Regardless of the distance, all runners managed to experience the upgraded running course - ‘Sound Track’ - which included brand new ‘Inspo Zones’ that replaced 5 music zones from last year.
With speakers every 50m throbbing 150,000 watts of the best running beats, I guess this was the most energetic run I had ever joined along with thousands of participants dancing their way through to the finish line.
Some live performance along the running route. And finally we made our way to the finishing line!
The design of the medal is so beautiful, right?
The atmosphere was getting more pumped up as the evening approached. The run ended on a high-note with a Music Festival, complete with entertainment and fun activities at the Music Village.
We were lucky to have DJ Sam Withers of Australia who has been touring various The Music Runs around the world this year, with his infectious tunes that kept the crowd grooving and living the beat till the end. The crowd was immersed into the set of expertly-mixed dance tracks, which was served against a stunning display of laser lights and a riveting pyrotechnic show.
