Continuing my vegan skincare journey with THE FACE SHOP, I started to use the new Rice Water Bright Vegan skincare as my daily routine, an extension from the current Rice Water Bright cleansing range.
Aside from the rice water ingredients of the old Rice Water Bright cleansing formula, the new skincare line features upgraded fermented rice water ingredients to amplify the nourishing and moisturizing properties of rice.
How it works:
It features the fermentation with organic Yeoju rice (a skin-loving ingredient!) and yeast from white hibiscus flowers + Rice Gran Oil for 28 days. Do you know that the organic Rice Water contains Vitamins B1 and B2 and starch that helps in brightening the skin and is used traditionally for face washing in Korea?
Apart from Rice Water, it contains:

After cleaning and toning, the next step is the vegan serum which is a rice water-like, milky-white serum. It provides brightening effect with Niacinamide and Rice Water ingredients.
Texture / Feel:
The light, milky-white formula glides effortlessly onto the skin, leaving a moisturized feel.
What I like:
I love how it helps enhance the skin's brightness and radiance in just 4 weeks, and the vegan formula makes it feel mild and soothing on the skin. Definitely a guilt-free skincare choice.
Rice Water Bright Vegan Eye Cream (20ml) @ RM74
I don't usually use eye cream that feels heavy and burdensome to the delicate eye area, but this vegan eye cream is something different for me. Infused with yeast, rice extracts, and rice bran oil to promote bright and healthy-looking skin around the eyes, the eye cream is a lot lighter than usual.
Texture / Feel:
Thanks to the supple formula, the eye cream glides smoothly onto the skin, absorbing quickly into the delicate eye area.
What I like:
It feels supple on the eye area, without feeling any irritation while it acts as an effective dark circle relief.
Rice Water Bright Vegan Cream (50ml) @ RM74
The milky-white cream offers intense hydration to the skin, while seamlessly blending into the skin for a non-sticky finish. The best part? The texture is nothing creamy but rather like a lightweight lotion that seals the skin very well with moisture.
Texture / Feel:
The skin feels an instant moisturising effect upon applying the cream. It absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves no sticky residue.
What I like:
I love how it feels so lightweight and gentle on my skin, and is able to ensure optimal hydration level of the skin.
