Hi, August. We are here completing 2/3 of the year 2024! How I'd wish that time would go slower so that I can live in every moment and enrich my daily life.

03.08.2024 | August began with a sweet surprise. Thanks for always treating me like a princess and gifting me this super cute crown of roses. ❤ Sweeeeeet!

04.08.2024 | Heard good reviews about their handmade pasta, hence we are here to try the "Crab on Crab" but I think the white wine sauce would be better. Nevertheless, the Cereal Prawn Croissant was my all-time favourite from Madu Bakery which was having a pop-up collaboration here!

09.08.2024 | Happy to be at the Esplanade and join the massive celebration this year - second time for me. And the fireworks were so lovely despite the heavy downpour earlier in the early evening.

11.08.2024 | Favourite bagel hunt at the Korean bagel bar which serves unpretentious, chewy and soft bagels freshly every day. The Bacon Cheese Omelette Bagel is the bomb! Worth a revisit for its green onion cream cheese bagel too.

24.08.2024 | French pastry for brunch. Finally get to visit the Singapore home of Cédric Grolet, one of the world's most famous French pâtissiers. The croissant is undoubtedly flaky, airy and the richness of butter is another level above the rest. Definitely a satisfying (but very expensive) treat if you love buttery pastries.

27.08.2024 | Exam day. Completed my Income Tax Programme: Level 2! And will soon be qualified as an Accredited Tax Practitioner (ATP). Looking forward to achieving the next goal of being an Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA)!

28.08.2024 | Last dessert review in August before bidding goodbye to such an amazing month. Thank you for the amazing boozy gelato treat (ABV >4%) - my favourite is the Sea Salt Butterscotch Gelato infused with Knob Creek 9 Years Old Bourbon Whiskey!

A U G U S T || August has been a peaceful month for me to spend the entire month in Singapore, concentrating on what truly counts. ❤

For me, staying focused allows my heart to feel calm and peaceful, away from the external noises and inadequacy in life. And most importantly, keeping my life private helps a lot in my mental health. For the past half a year or so, I have been protecting my personal boundaries, reducing stress from external judgement and maintaining control over my personal narrative. 

Not everyone in social media is our friend. I do not owe anyone an explanation on what I do, where I go and what I achieve in my daily life. And I do not want to invite any negative social comparison and unwanted intrusions into my personal affairs. The more I reduce sharing details about my personal life, the more I become indifferent to people's opinions about my life because they lack insight into who I really am. 

What really matters is my choice to include only a select few individuals I trust in my inner circle, and cultivate deeper connections with people who mean a lot to me. Thanks to these people for always sticking around and continue being part of my life.
